You think your children are better than mine? Ha! When yours were out playing with gold, mine were out fighting for survival. You taught your children to roll in money when I taught mine what it means to be strong.

About This Quote

It’s true that wealth can be a wonderful thing. The world would be a very different place if every person was as wealthy as Bill Gates. Nonetheless, if people really thought that their children were better than those from less fortunate families, they would be surprised to learn just how much those children have to endure. Children from poverty have to fight for survival half of the time. The other half, they have to fight for a place in a society that only wants the best for its children if they want to stand out from the rest of the crowd.
